Four days is the shortest version of the northern circuit we are glad to put a guest on. You leave Zanzibar by air, reach the crater for a descent, then continue to the Serengeti for two nights — or the other way around if the flights and the herds say so. The Serengeti sector is chosen for the month, the same rule as the fly-in safari. The crater is a contained morning of high density. The Serengeti is space, longer drives, and the possibility of following one thing for an hour without a queue. You are back on the island at the end of the fourth day, sand still available for the rest of the week. Extend to five days if you can. The price is a sample guide for the four-day shape, flights included, and it will move with camp and season.

Questions

Can we do this without camping?

Yes. The nights are lodges or permanent tented camps with beds and bathrooms, not a fly-camp, unless you ask for that.

What if our dates miss the river crossing?

Then we do not sell you the crossing. The Serengeti is not only that week in the north. We place you where the animals are.

Can the island days wrap around it?

Yes. Most guests want beach, then this, then beach — or the safari first so they end by the water. Say which.
