Tour · Menai Bay

Safari Blue
Safari Blue is the classic full-day sail from the Fumba side of the island into Menai Bay. You board a traditional dhow, not a speedboat. The day usually includes a stop on a sandbank while the tide allows, snorkelling on a reef, a drift through the mangroves, and a grilled seafood lunch prepared on board or on the bank. Dolphins are sometimes in the bay. They are not promised. If anyone in the group does not eat seafood, or eats only halal, tell us when you inquire and we arrange the lunch accordingly. The boat is open. Bring a hat, reef-safe sunscreen, and a dry bag.

Questions
I get seasick. Is this wise?
The boat is wooden and unhurried, but it is still a boat. If you are badly seasick, choose Nakupenda or a land day instead. We would rather say that now.
Are dolphins guaranteed?
No. Menai Bay is a good place to see them. It is not a promise, and we do not chase them.
What should we wear?
Swimwear under a shirt. The lunch is casual. A light cover is useful when the wind picks up.
