Nakupenda Sandbank
Nakupenda means “I love you”. The bank itself appears and disappears with the tide, so the hour of departure is set by the moon, not by a fixed clock. The boat leaves from the Stone Town side. You wade ashore onto sand, swim in clear shallows, and snorkel if the reef beside the bank is calm. Many boats serve a simple grilled lunch; say if you need a vegetarian or halal plate. There is no shade unless the crew raises a cloth. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and something to cover your shoulders.

Questions
What if the tide is wrong?
We move the hour, or we move the day. We do not invent a sandbank that is underwater.
Is there a toilet?
No. Use one at the hotel before the boat. The trip is a few hours, not a full day.
Private or shared boat?
Both exist. Tell us which you want. The price shown is a shared-style guide; a private boat is quoted separately.
