Dolphin Tour, Kizimkazi
Kizimkazi, at the south end of Unguja, is where spinner and bottlenose dolphins are most often seen. We leave early, when the bay is quieter. The honest version of this trip matters: dolphins are wild, a sighting is likely but not guaranteed, and swimming with them only happens if they come to the boat and the sea is calm enough. We do not run them down. After the search there is usually a snorkel on a nearby reef, then the return before the day gets too hot. The old mosque at Kizimkazi Dimbani, with its 12th-century inscription, can be added if you want a few minutes on land.

Questions
Will we swim with dolphins?
Only if they come to the boat. If they are travelling past, we watch. That is the trip we sell.
How early is early?
Often a pickup before sunrise from the north coast, later if you already sleep in the south. We send the time with your confirmation.
Is this for small children?
The boat is fine for children who sit still. The swim is not the point, and we will not put a frightened child in the water.
