While studying in Asia, Aisha often mentioned she was from Zanzibar, and people would always light up, excited by the idea of a paradise island. But she realized many didn’t truly know Zanzibar beyond its beaches and spices. This inspired her to start a travel agency that offered more than typical tours—she wanted to create personalized, immersive experiences that revealed the island’s rich culture and history. Together with her husband, Issam, Aisha co-founded IssamTours, focused on providing authentic, tailor-made journeys that let travelers truly connect with Zanzibar’s soul.
