Nyerere Fly-in
Nyerere National Park, the former Selous, is the safari that belongs with a Zanzibar holiday more naturally than a rush north. You fly from the island toward the reserve, not six hours down a highway as the opening act. The signature is the boat: channels of the Rufiji, hippo, crocodile, and bee-eaters in the bankside trees. A game drive covers the rest — elephant are common, wild dog are possible and never booked as a promise. One night in camp is enough to feel the place and still be back on the beach the day after. Two nights is better if you can spare them. This sample is priced as two days and one night, flights included, and you should replace the number with your own quote.
Guide price: from USD 720 per person. Replace this number when you edit the trip.

Questions
Is this better than Mikumi for a short safari?
If you want a boat and a night in camp, yes. If you only have a day and want zebra on a plain, Mikumi is the other answer.
Malaria?
The reserve is a malaria area. Take the advice you have already had from your doctor. We do not give medical advice.
Can the group be private?
Yes. The vehicle and the boat can be yours alone. The sample price is a guide per person and moves with how many of you there are.
